Collection: Shantung
Shantung were named after its origin, Shandong Province in China. Sometimes to be grouped with Dupioni, which has a very similar characteristics.
Its signature feature is the special texture created by some scattered slubs or knots on the weft. Apart from that, they are generally lustrous in appearance, as a result, designers like to use it to create a texturised dress.
Shantung is also a great material to make small accessories look classy, like ties for menswear, ribbons and bags. The smaller the accessory, the more significant its texture appears.
